New Version of Employee Tracker is Released

An interim version of Employee Tracker has been released, in between the Q3 and Q4 quarterly releases.

A couple of issues regarding Holiday time have been addressed:

  • Employee Tracker now better follows British Columbia Labour Standards in regard to time worked on a statutory holiday. There is a new option in Utilities > Customize Calculation Routines. When the option "Treat any time worked on a statutory holiday...." is checked (enabled), you can enter a limit amount of holiday worked OT which can possibly be treated as REG time for weekly OT. (Wo.26222)
  • The "must work x out of y" conditions of the Holiday Pay Rules is now properly applied. (Wo.27325)

This release also contains a couple of other changes:

  • Overtime is no longer removed from employees who earned it when approving the transaction from within the Time Approval Center. (Wo.27377)
  • A new option is available within each Time Bank under Setup > Time Banks. When either "Worked" or "Percent" is selected as the bank accumulation type, a new option called "Include Banked OT" appears under the Time column selection. This allows you to setup banks to either include or ignore banked time during Bank Run accumulations. (Wo.26195)

Do you need to update? If none of the above-mentioned items sound like familiar issues, then you probably do not need the new version.

To update, you can download the new version from the web at http://www.advancedtracker.com/download/updates.html. Follow the instructions on the web page to verify your current version number and database platform, and to download the update as well as the installation instructions. Then call the helpdesk at 1-888-531-3774 x226 so we can verify your support status and supply the password to unlock the update.

Hint for downloaders: even though you may need only the Update file, we recommend also downloading the Setup file, too. Save the Setup in case one of your computers has a meltdown, or you acquire a new computer, and you need to install Employee Tracker from scratch. It will be far easier to install from the most recent Setup file than by trying to locate your original Setup CD and then applying the Update.
